The Babylon Youth Project’s "All In" program option grants you full access to all of our regular wonderful programs, transportation, extended hours, and even a daily snack. With our great personal staff and small group size we can give your child the extra attention they deserve. We have provided many answers to questions that have come up with this new program. Q: What is the “All In” after school program?
A: This program grants you full access to all of our regular wonderful programs, transportation, extended hours, and even a daily snack.
Q: What do you get for the monthly cost?
A: Transportation from the Grade School to the Youth Center on school days. Free snack and drink daily. Unlimited participation in programs during regular hours. Homework Helpers program. Small personal groups. Increased hours 2:30-6:30pm. Professional Staff.
Q: Why do you have to pay each month?
A: You will be guaranteed a place in the program. Without this income, we would not be able to afford to offer this program option and additional hour of service.
Q: Why can't I pay per individual program?
A: To sustain transportation and additional staff time we must have a guaranteed income and participation.
Q: How many will be enrolled in the program?
A: A maximum of 25 members will be enrolled in the program.
Q: How much staffing does the Youth Center have?
A: Director, Asst. Director, 2 youth workers and volunteer Board Members. We have made a commitment to add 1 additional youth worker once the program reaches 20 participants.
Q: What are the program hours?
A: Programs will run during our new extended regular hours from 2:30-6:30pm.
Q: What are the rules for members attending the center?
Q: What does the transportation plan look like?
A: We will be picking up members from the Grade School only. Pick up will be at 2:30pm from the back parking lot at the 6th grade wing.
Q: What activities are included?
A: Homework Helpers, Arts & Crafts, Cooking and Nutrition, Movie Night, I.D.E.A.S. Program,Trips, Tech Program, Gaming Systems, and Computers.
Q: Are you closed when school is closed?
Q: Will you be open early on half days?
A: No and there will be no transportation on half days.
Q: What if my child has allergies?
A: It is the member’s responsibility to be aware of their own allergies. Our staff will do our best to accommodate the youth member’s needs.
Q: Who can pick up my child?
A: Whoever you designate on the member information form, under the emergency contact section.
Q: Can my child leave the center?
A: Parent’s rules apply. We will do everything in our power to prevent a child from leaving, however legally we cannot physically restrain a child. That is why we require youth members to be at least 8 years of age and maturity based.
Q: What type of snacks will be served?
A: A small snack and drink will be provided daily.
Q: What ages of youth will you serve?
A: 8 to 18, maturity based.
Q: Is the Youth Center a child care facility?
A: No, we are an after school educational/recreational facility.
Q: What if my child needs to take medicine?
A: We can store medication on a individual basis. We cannot administer drugs or medication. Our staff will not be responsible to keep track of the times or doses that need to be taken.
Q: Will my child be required to participate in activities?
A: All participants will have a reserved spot for activities, but it will not be required. We only ask that the youth member lets us know what their intentions are on a program by program basis.
Q: What happens if a child chooses not to follow the rules?
A: Minor violations will be given a verbal warning. If the actions continue, the parent or emergency contact will be called. Gross violations will require the parent or emergency contact to pick up the child immediately.
